UPDATE FROM HARPENDEN CRICKET CLUB

MARCH 2022

All Stars & Dynamos is back for 2022!

We are delighted to be welcoming back these highly successful All Stars and Dynamos cricket programmes to Harpenden Cricket Club this summer.

Last summer saw us start Dynamos for the first time with a hugely successful girls only session running on a Friday afternoon from 6pm. This will be continuing again this year starting on 13th May 2022 for girls aged 8-11 years.

Our All Stars sessions will continue again on a Saturday morning from 9-10am starting on 7th May 2022. This is for girls and boys aged 5-8 years.

Both sessions are run at Harpenden Cricket Club.  You can sign up via links below. If you would like any further information or know of anyone who would like their children to join, please email Nick Reeves - selection@harpendencc.co.uk

 COMING UP

A series of social events are being arranged for this summer at Harpenden CC. We will keep you informed about these, and you will find dates and times on the website and in the pavilion. Here’s an overview:

Saturday 9th April – first game of the season on the Common, as our first team welcomes Redbourn Cricket Club. Start-time 1pm. Pavilion will be open for refreshments.

Friday 22nd April – Cricket Club Golf Day at Harpenden Golf Club. £60 per person which covers your guest green fee, coffee and bacon rolls on arrival. You can enter as an individual, or a team. Tee off 9am. For more information please contact Adam Grimberg.  Adam’s email address is a.grimberg@btinternet.com

Friday 22nd April – Welcome Drinks 6.30pm to 8.30pm. A chance for players, boys’ and girls’ parents and social members to get together and catch up after a long winter. It is a particularly good opportunity for new members to find out a bit more about the club. Happy Hour from 7pm to 8pm – all drinks half price.

Friday 29th April – Arnies’ Quiz Night. Back by popular demand and always a sell-out. Tickets £10 to include Godfreys Fish and Chips. Teams of 6 or 8. 7.30pm for 8pm. We will send details on how to reserve your place in the next week or so.

Saturday 14th May – Fieldy’s Music Extravaganza. Fifth team skipper on the turntable and late bar.

More to follow but please reserve a place in your diaries for THE SUMMER PARTY on Saturday 16th July. Last year a cracking time was had by all, and we expect tickets to sell quickly. To register your interest please email Judie Caunce on jac@events-plus.co.uk

AND FINALLY

As is so often the case in recent years, late March brings us perfect cricket weather. Better pack the third long sleeve sweater for the first game on the Common in a fortnight then…..
