HCC overhauls its social media output

Jonathan Taylor23 Mar - 11:25

You may have noticed more frequent and more concerted activity recently.

If you already follow the club’s various social media accounts, you may have noticed more frequent and more concerted activity in the last few weeks.

I’m delighted to say that George Brindley and Lucy Barrow have agreed to take responsibility for what and how the club communicates on Facebook, Instagram and X, and the positive influence of their involvement is already evident.

The plan is to energise our social media output, which is the club’s shop window after all, so that members feel more connected to HCC and so that we can attract more interest in the club and the many ways it engages with the local community.

As the season fast approaches, look out for Senior teams weekend previews and results round-ups, as well as profiles of captains, players and other key figures at the club, and regular newsflashes about upcoming events. We also intend to post the Men’s and Women’s 1st team selections ahead of their matches.

We want you, the members, to get involved as much as possible so do contact George and Lucy with any ideas or suggestions at: media@harpendencc.co.uk

Ultimately, we want the social media presence to reflect the characteristics of our cricket club – a Premiership-standard club with a community-first approach, dedicated to providing elite and social cricket, and a welcoming social atmosphere, for all to enjoy.
