A few weeks ago I had the great pleasure of catching up with HCC's very own Andrew Neal to ask him all about his cricketing journey and life as a professional player.

Hampshire's season had just finished but Andrew very kindly gave me some of his time on a video call from the car park down at the Utilita Bowl.

I hope you enjoy our little chat.

He is far too modest to say just how well he has performed for Hampshire this past season, in both red- and white-ball cricket, so I'm going to say it for him...

What a brilliant player, with both bat and ball, and an even nicer bloke.

Thanks for your time, Andrew, and congratulations on making your dream a reality. We are very proud of you here at HCC and hope to see you down at the clubhouse before too long.

Many thanks to tech-wizard Nick Abbott for scrubbing up the video call into something presentable!
