Our 4th and 5th teams keep the maroon flag flying

Half-centuries from Tashkoff, Reeves, Behl and Williams jnr; near misses from Pearson and Barcock The Youngest

The 1st team suffered a set-back in their title chase as they went down to rivals Totteridge Millhillians by 112 runs, but our boys still remain top of the Premiership. Jesse Tashkoff scored a half-century:
Totteridge Millhillians: 305-7 dec off 57 overs (Tashkoff 2-104)
Harpenden: 193 all out off 45.4 overs (Tashkoff 62, Swanson 32)

The 2nd team couldn’t chase down a large total and lost to St Margaretsbury by 101 runs. Joe Basquille turned in a strong all-round performance with both wickets and runs:
St Margaretsbury: 295-7 off 50 overs (Calladine 2-55, Basquille 2-55)
Harpenden: 194 all out off 48.4 overs (Basquille 32)

The 3rd team posted a decent score but couldn’t prevent Shenley Village 2s from getting home and lost by 6 wickets. Nick Reeves struck a half-century:
Harpenden: 238-7 off 50 overs (Reeves 59, B Grimberg 44)
Shenley Village: 241-4 off 37.2 overs (B Barcock 2-41)

The 4th team keep progressing and recorded a narrow victory over Radlett 3s. Class act Anuj Behl contributed yet another half-century and Will Pearson came close to scoring one of his own in an imposing total which we just managed to defend:
Harpenden: 274-8 off 40 overs (Behl 69, Pearson 48)

The 5th team made an emphatic statement with a comfortable 8-wicket defeat of Rickmansworth 4s. Kit McGrandle helped himself to 3 wickets and Austin Williams struck a half-century:
Radlett:141 all out off 37 overs (K McGrandle 3-18, J Kington 2-12, Abbott-Chambers 2-34)
Harpenden: 142-2 off 28.2 overs (A Williams 52, Skinner 39 not out, Bailey 31)

The 6th team bowled out Aldenham 2s but were unable to chase the total down and lost by 64 runs. Nick Abbott claimed 3 wickets and young Henry Barcock very nearly got himself a half-century:
Aldenham: 203 all out off 37.3 overs (Abbott 3-36, G Roberts 2-22)
Harpenden: 139 all out off 31.5 overs (H Barcock 48, E Rogerson 32 not out)

The 7th team found the going tough against Watford Town 5s and lost by 229 runs:
Watford Town: 310-5 off 40 overs (D Jackson 2-36)
Harpenden:81 all out off 31.5 overs (O Dam 27)
