Wins for the Men’s 1s, 3s and 5s

The 1st team were victorious against Bishop’s Stortford, with another strong all-round performance from Andrew Neal contributing to a 5-wicket win:
Bishop’s Stortford: 174 all out off 45 overs (Barrett 3-31, Seagrave 3-33, Neal 3-38)
Harpenden: 178-5 off 35.1 overs (Neal 73, Batchelor 41)

The 2nd team went down to Hitchin by 196 runs despite 4 wickets for Ben Frazer and a solid knock from skipper Jake Pankhurst:
Hitchin: 350-7 off 50 overs (Frazer 4-29)
Harpenden: 154 all out off 40.4 overs (Pankhurst 46)

The 3rd team cruised to an 8-wicket win over Old Haberdashers, the highlight being Ben Newton’s 5 wickets:
Old Haberdashers: 110 all out off 35.4 overs (Newton 5-17, Harry Bradley 2-30)
Harpenden: 111-2 off 14.1 overs (Whiteley 39, Sambrook 35)

The 4th team found the going tough against a hard-hitting Luton Town and Indians 3s, succumbing by 183 runs:
Luton Town and Indians: 340-4 off 40 overs (Pollard-Beeton 2-54)
Harpenden: 157-9 off 40 overs

In a low-scoring match, the 5th team beat Abbots Langley 3s by 24 runs. Ravi Chittimalla scored vital runs and then took 4 wickets:
Harpenden: 93 all out off 29.4 overs (Chittimalla 30)
Abbots Langley: 69 all out off 23.5 overs (Chittimala 4-7, Cornforth 2-2)

The 6th team lost by 134 runs to Watford Town 4s. Josh Goulbourne took 4 wickets and Yaqoob Alvi struck a belligerent 36 with the bat:
Watford Town: 213-8 off 40 overs (Goulbourne 4-25, Cramer 2-41)
Harpenden: 79 all out off 27.1 overs (Yaqoob Alvi 36)

The 7th team had to concede their game against Tewin 3s.
