
The 1st team recorded a resounding 7-wicket win over Flitwick on The Common. Andrew Neal returned to the team with a sparkling innings once the bowling unit had restricted the opposition to an eminently chasable total.

Harpenden: 203-3 off 31.3 overs (Neal 81 not out, Galloway 42, J Latham 41)
On Sunday, the Women’s 1st team took care of business with a strong victory over St Albans. Millie Dyer posted a half-century:
St Albans: 121-3 off 20 overs (Asha Randhawa 2-23)
Harpenden: 122-3 off 17.3 overs (Dyer 51, Ruxton 36)
Back to Saturday, the 2nd team dispatched Potters Bar 2s by 51 runs. Jake Pankhurst scored a half-century and Jack Doyle grabbed 3 wickets:
Harpenden: 244-8 off 50 overs (Pankhurst 61, B Luffman 49, Tulett 37 not out)
Potters Bar: 193 all out off 41 overs (Doyle 3-13, Reeves 2-37, Calladine 2-43)
The 3rd team kept their end of the bargain with a comprehensive 9-wicket win over Kings Langley. The bowling attacked, ably led by youngsters Benji Smith and Jamie Karunaratne, dismantled the opposition for less than 50:

Harpenden: 47-1 off 12.2 overs
The Women’s 3rd team lost to Luton Women’s & Girls by 34 runs:
Harpenden: 108-5 off 20 overs (Net Score 288)
Luton Women’s & Girls: 127-2 off 20 overs (Net Score 317)
The 4th team took matters down to the wire against Markyate but fell just 16 runs short in a testing run chase. Mo Umar and Belal Hussain took 3 wickets apiece and Anuj Behl struck a half-century:

Harpenden: 195-8 off 40 overs (Behl 50)
Having been inserted on a very sticky wicket, the 5th team were skittled for just 79 and went down to Luton Town & Indians 4s by 9 wickets. Ravi Chittimalla provided resistance with the bat:

Luton Town & Indians: 83-1 off 23 overs
The 6th team very nearly grabbed the spoils in a tight finish against Wheathampstead 4s, losing by just 2 wickets. Om Dam bowled nicely for his 3 wickets:

The 7th team lost to Chorleywood 4s by 7 wickets despite limpet-like resistance with the bat from skipper Tim Rogerson:
