Many of you will be aware that the club season has already begun with matches for our junior boys and girls as well as the odd adult friendly. But we are now only a week away from the start of the adult league season with matches across our six senior men's sides beginning on Saturday May 11th. The men's 1st team are also due to play in the ECB's National Club Championship away at Oundle on Sunday.

The club is going from strength to strength: we already have one of the largest All Stars programmes (starting May 18th in 2024); over 300 boys and over 100 girls in our junior section; two adult women's sides (second team new for 2024); six senior Saturday league sides; an increasingly regular Saturday 'Wizards' team that supports cricket participation for junior or senior players wanting to play Saturday cricket outside of the league structure;
as well as the occasional friendly. This means that we are putting out no less than 26 teams playing matches across the club - as you might imagine, that takes a huge amount of planning.

I would like to welcome all new members to Harpenden CC. The club really appreciates you choosing to join what we like to think - sorry 'know' - is the best cricket club in Hertfordshire. The club is also grateful to all members, young and old, who are renewing their membership and we hope that you all have another enjoyable summer whether playing, watching, scoring, umpiring or just having a drink with us.

As matches have started for our boys and girls, hundreds of juniors have already registered and paid their subscriptions. Whilst many of the adult membership have done likewise, that is not the case for everyone so if you have not done so yet please do it NOW.

Not only does the club need everybody to be registered - whether as a social or playing member - but anybody who wishes to be considered for selection for a senior Saturday league match must have their availability updated on the club's website/app. So, if any player wishes to be considered for selection for the first league match on May 11th then the player's availability must be updated by Monday May 6th. Please update your availability for as many weeks of the season as possible. If your availability is not updated then you will NOT be selected.
