Titans made it 3 out of 3 in a high scoring encounter at St Georges.
OA’s won the toss and elected to bowl first which suited us as we prefer to set a total and defend. Titans started well with Sach Jallport and Henry Barcock getting the scoreboard tickling at around 10 an over for the first 3 overs until Henry holed out for 20 the last ball of the 3rd.
OA’s brought on their leg spinner who quickly took two in 2 balls to give us the jitters but Harry Graham settled in with Sach and started regularly hitting the boundary and by the time he was out for 27, the pair had moved the score on to 99 at the start of the 15th. Joss Abbott-Chambers and Sach continued the boundary scoring, going at 8 an over for the last 5 to give us a competitive total of 140 with Sach holing out for 29 off the final ball of the innings with Joss on 21 n.o at the other end.

Our bowling response started as well as it could with Kit McGrandle bowling their opener first ball of the innings. Fin Sellers opened from the other end with a probing spell of left arm seam and Aaron Case continued his fine form with the ball to remove the other opener in his first over and then kept it tight and the pressure told with a really sharp run out by Harry Graham and Sach.
The wickets brought together their two big hitting county players and they both tucked into our bowling and both batters very quickly reached the retired not out total of 30 having made a huge dent in the score and putting OA’s very much ahead of the game.
However, a couple of tight overs of leg spin from Harry Smyth started to swing it back in our favour and when the penultimate over bowled by Albie went for only 1, they needed 16 of the final over to win. Henry Barcock bowled a gutsy final over to get us over the line.

Top of the table with 1 game to go before the half term break - we are in a great spot but still have lots to do in a very competitive and difficult group. Well done boys!
