In back to back T20s against Home Counties Premier League opposition in Stony Stratford, it was honours even with one win a piece. Harpenden lost the toss in both games and were asked to field first. Scores were:

Game 1: Stony Stratford 154-7 (Abigail Passmore 41 n.o., Georgia Vallet 3- 33)
Harpenden 120-9 (Millie Dyer 53, Alexa O’Kane 4-9)

Game 2: Stony Stratford 135-5 (Abigail Passmore 40, Izzy Ahlowalia 2-11)
Harpenden 136-1 (Lucy Bell 54 n.o.)

Well done to Izzy Ahlowalia, Bea Ruffles, Ash Shankhapal and Fiona Challacombe on their 1st team debuts.

Highlights included marvellous 50s by Millie in Game 1 and by Lucy in Game 2. And then among the wickets were Izzy (4 across the two games on debut), Georgia (3) and Holly (2). Some good fielding throughout including an excellent catch on the boundary from Charlotte.

Overall, a very satisfying day’s cricket in the sunshine against strong opposition. Bodes well for the rest of the season!!
