The Huskies u13 b B team made it 6 out of 6 with a comprehensive win over Redbourn at a swelteringly hot Rothamstead.

We won the toss and asked them to bat, and from the off the huskies were absolutely on fire, Redbourn's first pair couldn't cope with the intensity of the huskies bowling and fielding , wickets for Esme , Bess and 2 for Daisy and a run out left Redbourn in firmly negative territory.
The next Redbourn pair steadied the ship and hit some powerful boundary's before Bea executed a smart run out to keep the wickets coming. Annabel picked up another as the last pair continued to struggle, with her bowling proving very difficult for Redbourn to get away. The Huskies all bowled and fielded superbly - Chloes pace was again impressive and was very unlucky not to pickup a wicket whilst Bess and Annabel continue to improve and are proving very difficult to score off. Redbourn closed on 79/8 , leaving us chasing just 40 to win.

After a break to rehydrate in the heat the Huskies set about dismantling the Redbourn attack - Esme and Chloe opened and both were quickly underway scoring at a impressive rate, as a pair they hit 3 boundaries, with Esme as usual hitting the ball incredibly hard especially through the leg side. Captain Asha and Olivia kept us with the rate with Olivia striking the ball with real authority to pickup 4 boundaries and Asha ran hard despite getting little of the strike , at halfway the Huskies were well ahead having added 71 for no wicket. Bess and Annabel came next and both picked up a boundaries, with Bess pulling powerfully through the leg side and Annabel using her feet to smash the ball though midwicket. We finished with Bea and Daisy , Daisy impressed everyone with some clever shots continually rotating the strike with good placement, Bea after initially struggling to find her range accelerated at the death hitting two boundaries in the last over to finish with the top score of 20.

Daisy picked up player of the match for an excellent all round performance, all the Huskies contributed to what was a dominant victory in the heat. Thanks to all the parents who supported , for Tarz for scoring and most of all to the girls who continue to put in 100% every match. And the less said about the oppo coach the better
