A real milestone for Harpenden Women’s cricket today with it being the first time we have fielded two teams on the same day. The 2nd team faced Broxbourne on the Common with Fiona, Lucy, Ash and Gia all making their debuts.

Having lost the toss, we were asked to bat and reached 247 - 9 with Fiona, Maya and the Glyn- Davies sisters (Holly and Lily) top scoring.

It wasn’t quite enough to secure the win with Broxbourne getting home by 38 runs. Lily had the best figures with 2-22 with Holly, Evelyn and Maya also amongst the wickets.

Overall, it was a fantastic opportunity for some of our newer players to continue their cricket journey and get the experience of playing a game on the Common.
